Prolific North Live Expo
There’s been a lot of excitement about the Prolific North event at Emirates Old Trafford Manchester last week and no wonder, what a show!
Prolific North’s debut event was the biggest media, marketing and creative industries event outside of London, with over 100 exhibitors and partners, over 50 seminars and presentations and attracted over 2,000 visitors. The buzz and hum of the event was clear to see far and wide, not just for those attending, but also for those following on social media, by 9.30 a.m. #PNLive was already trending on Twitter and the event is still being talked about now.
And there we were, the “Printer” at the heart of it exhibiting and giving a presentation in the Library suite. We can honestly say we had a really great day, telling visitors how they can “Know their sh*et” and challenging them to include print in their digital budget – very brave. This message appeared to resonate, and we received lots of interest, Prolific North is one of the most successful events we have ever attended and we came away with some really great contacts.
Not bad for an event designed to promote the digital industry. This interest reinforced our belief and our key message – Print is not dead.
And this is exactly the message our MD Jon Bailey gave in his ‘inspiring, and impassioned defence of the value of print’ (thank you Hotfoot Design) during his talk at Prolific North.
“You see, at ProCo we believe print is an integral part of your digital marketing campaign, it engages the customer, and supports digital activity by bringing your campaign to life. Print is not dead. It’s evolving – it’s the end game. If we want to be successful in a digital age then we need to think differently about how we approach things. Digital content is no longer just an add-on to our marketing campaigns. Quite often it’s the main player. But with print you can deliver real quality, add extra value and give your digital content a unique advantage.”
Jon also laid down the challenge during his talk – can you get your clients to spend some of their digital budget on digital enhancing print?
If you’d like to find out more about this challenge and why you should take it up, then you can catch Jon speaking at the Visual Media Conference on 22nd March 2016 at the Rose Bowl Leeds.
And of course – we hope to see you next year at Prolific North Live – we’re already looking forward to it!
